These terms apply to your use of an assessment delivered on LODESTAR. By starting the assessment you accept them. They are short because the arrangement is simple: you answer questions, you receive a written interpretation, and the consultancy that invited you receives it too.
What the assessment is
The assessment is a structured conversation that produces a written interpretation of your leadership positioning: an archetype, a personality profile, a readiness score and a set of observations. It is produced from what you say, by a defined method, with an AI model writing the prose over results the method has already fixed.
What it is not
It is not professional, legal, financial or psychological advice, and it is not an assessment of your ability, character or suitability for any role. A score is a reading of the evidence you gave in a single conversation, and it is only as complete as that conversation. Decisions are yours; the report is an input.
Your part
Answer as yourself. Do not enter information about other people that they would not expect you to share, and do not attempt to manipulate the assessment or the platform. You must be at least eighteen years old to take it.
Your data
How your data is collected, used and kept is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. The consultancy that invited you receives your report and answers; a consultant may contact you only if you agreed to that.
Your report
Your report is yours to keep, share and use. The method, the platform, its software and its design remain the property of their owners. You may not copy the platform, reverse engineer it, or use its output to build a competing assessment.
Availability
The platform is provided as it is. Reasonable care is taken to keep it available and accurate, but it may be interrupted, and an AI-written interpretation may be imperfect. If a report cannot be generated, your answers are kept and you can try again.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither the platform nor the consultancy is liable for any loss arising from reliance on the assessment or from its unavailability. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the consultancy that invited you is established, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes. Continuing to use the platform after a change means accepting the changed terms.
